    HELP! Nigella Ham in Coke Query!

    So I've got to the bit where she says

    take it out of the pan (but do NOT throw away the cooking liquid)
    but then there is no further mention of what to do with said cooking liquid that I must not throw away??!!

    she uses it to make a black bean soup, but you don't need it for the ham recipe!

    I made the black bean soup last year and it was luvverly. Planning to do it again.

    Let it cool. Then put it in the fridge. Then the next day use it to make a thickened sauce for some other meat. To do this, get it out of the fridge and leave it on the side for about 8 hours until you realise that you've finished the next meal and completely forgotten that it was sitting there.

    Well, that's what I did with mine anyway.

    Or put in the freezer, intending to make said black bean soup, never make it, throw away a year later when you defrost freezer
