That's what we do. Part of the deal with Christmas IMO is accepting that they make wake at silly o'clock and open their presents. So long as they don't disturb us until a decent hour!

That's the plan. The stocking is really just a diversion to occupy them for a little while longer before waking me up.

Which is fine if silly o'clock in your house is 5am. My kids do not reliably sleep through the night, silly o'clock could be 11pm on Xmas Eve, 1am/2am/etc.

Ours get left downstairs with the rest of the presents.

WSS We never get a lie in and I love seeing their wee faces with the things I've chosen, we like to open everything all together. Preferably after 5am!

Hmmm, I think I may leave them downstairs and when they wake they can go down and bring their stockings up to open. Then we can do main presents later.

Same here. Until I joined Damsels I didn't realise people left them in their rooms. I want to see them open their gifts.

We have them in our bed, Daniel runs in here anyway, after 6.30, every day & Ethan is still in a cot so we'd have to go into him when he woke. I get to lie with my eyes mostly shut & pretend I'm still asleep for a little while!

When mine were younger, their sacks were always left in their rooms and they brought them into our room or took them downstairs to open after breakfast. We never, ever missed out on seeing them open their presents as, like me, they weren't the immediate ripping into types.
