As far as this relationship goes, it's probably a worry for me because I've never had a great relationship with my own Mother-inlaw. And the last thing I want is for mine and my son's wife's to turn out the same way x

I had to wonder whether the issue was the rug or the pressure to get on at Christmas.
Why anyone would choose to spend 11 days with family at the time of year, beats me though. You did say 11 days didn't you? I'd be climbing the walls at three - it'd get too claustrophobic and be certain to give rise to irritable relation syndrome!libertygal

Eleven days is a long time, but my son and his wife live down South, my hubby will be driving down from up North, I'll be flying in from Greece and my other son is flying in from China! (I know, lol) It just seemed to make sense to stay put considering we're usually so all over the place...
Me and hubby will be disappearing for a day or two in between though, we thought we might have a night or two in London to give them some space x
