Christmas Morning Breakfast - do you make your children have it before presents?
Hi
I was wondering, my OH thinks I am a bit strange, I let our LO open her stocking, then give her breakfast before she opens her sack and other presents. OH thinks I should wait. I suppose its because my mum used to do this to me when we were little, but I think she will be too excited later to have anything.
What are your thoughts? Am I being a mean mummy?

Yes, they have to wait until after breakfast. But, they have their own breakfast at stupid o clock, well before adult tummies have woken, so it's not really that long a wait. Then, when everyone is down, but not necessarily comatose, we let them open.

Get up, Stockings with everyone in living room in PJ's. Cups of tea for adults.
Breakfast once dressed.
Family etc. presents all together once dinner is on and everything is sorted.

Mine open their Santa stocking before breakfast, there would be a revolt if I tried to make them wait.
The rest of their presents they open after lunch

Christmas morning when I was a kid was all about getting up at silly o clock, waking siblings, mum and dad, lots of "oooh I wonder if he's been", tearing downstairs and opening pressies.
That's exactly how I do it too.
They'll probably eat a selection box for breakfast. So be it.

We always opened stockings first thing, lunch was cooked and we might go for walk in the morning and then presents after lunch.
