I've just asked for a quote for dh's anniversary present in January. But now I can't decide on a word

I thought love as its anniversary but he's really into his music & seeing as its for him wondered about rock or music. Do you think they'd look odd?

I'm quite excited now as I don't usually bother with a present due to it being so soon after Christmas

it really is great. I'm hoping to order one for my mum and dad with some of their places on it.

Also, the people that run it are just lovely and helpful too

Do you think they may be able to do the word music or rock and cover the letters with sheet music and album covers, instead of maps?

I've asked for a quote for various maps on either music or our anniversary date but album covers is a good idea...

I am Chris from Jimmy James Designs and I am sitting here blushing at all your kind words

Just to let you know that we are also on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/jimmyjamesdesigns and this is probably the best place to really keep up to date with our new pieces and ideas - especially when we are busy, such as in the run up to Christmas

We are a husband and wife team - Mr JJ is the creative one and he comes up with the ideas, and then creates some fantastic stuff. I am the dogsbody!! I do all the IT stuff, paperwork, taking of orders, packing etc. Sometimes Mr JJ lets me do the easy painting stuff, if I am good

Our block lettering can be done for virtually any word, name or number. The only restriction is the length - the longest one we have done so far is 9 letters long. I will not put the word/place name on here, just in case I spoil any suprises!!

So, far the words I can mention are:
LONDON, KENT, LOVE, HOME, NYC2011, GEMMA21

Obviously some are place names, and the last one was for a 21st birthday present.

Our prices are £4.00 per letter, plus £5.00 p+p to the UK. If we have the maps in stock, then there is no charge, however if we have to specially source a map or images for you, then we simply charge you exactly what we have to pay. Most maps are around £4.00 to buy in.

To give you some more ideas on what to have done, the KENT we did earlier this year was purchased by a fully-grown son for his Dad who was quite ill and needed cheering up. He chose the place names of where his Dad was born, where he brought the children up, where he worked, and where he lived now - safe to say his Dad was quite overcome and was almost brough to tears.

Another lady ordered LOVE as a wedding present, and we included the locations of the wedding ceremony and the wedding reception.

The GEMMA21 was a 21st present and we used images of New York, and painted the other surfaces the same colour as a New York taxi cab.

The combinations of words, names, letters and numbers is endless, and we can use most images. However, the more complicated the images or maps needed, the longer lead time we will need. One thing with us, is that we prefer to take our time and produce something that is is truly something to cherish.

We have already had 7 enquiries regarding our letter, and I am overwhelmed with the praise on here. However, I thought I would pop on here to say that we are not able to get anything ready in time for Christmas. I am really pleased to be able to use the really cheesy line of "we are victims of our own success" and say that we are inundated with orders. We are currently working between us from 6am to 11pm every day to make sure we get people's things to them in good time.

Come over to Facebook and take a look at our perspex items - we do 3D reindeers and Christmas trees, plus our keyrings are proving to be very popular. I know that personalised graffiti keyrings have been mentioned, but we no longer do these - they take a long amount of time to cut and the price we would need to charge to reflect this, no-one would want to pay! But we do initial letter keyrings - can be block lettering or graffiti. We also do symbol keyrings - such as scottie dogs, PS3 controllers, Bart Simpson, black cat, moustache, house, heart, and many more.

Sorry to waffle on for so long, but trying to get as much information on here as possible.
