Freddie Mercury died 20 years ago today

Have posted this on FB but thought I would share here too. I watched a fabulous documentary on Freddie Mercury this evening, amazingly it is exactly 20 years ago this evening that he lost his battle with AIDs. This is the last song he ever wrote and filmed 6 months before his death, it always gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.

OMG that makes me feel OLD! I remember hearing the news that he had died on my boyfriend's car radio...

I knew it was November 1991 but had forgotten the exact date until it was mentioned on the radio.

He left us such brilliant music that his legacy will never die .... good old Freddie

My friend is THE biggest Queen fan and I can remember her being inconsolable when Freddie passed away, he was a true legend

Can't believe it was 20 years ago. I was at (6th form) college at the time.

That song is one of my favourites, it always makes me cry. I grew up with Queen as my parents are both massive fans, and so am I.

Freddie and Queen were entertainment genius. I was gutted when he died.
