Step Dad is 60 on Sunday. Sister was going to buy him an ipod so I was going to get the docking station but she has decided against that now.
He buys his own smellies from Molton Brown.
I always buy him books and have him one for Christmas so dont want to do that.
He dosnt drink.

He does love his garden but buys everything he needs himself.
No hobbies
A day out would mean I would have to go too and that will not be happening

What about something unusual for the garden? We bought our Dad a chimenea. Sorry, no idea on budget or whether you are all clubbing together or not (as we did). Another thing we might have thought of would have been a gas bbq or patio heater. One year (65th, I think), we bought a water feature.

My dad is 70 on Sunday - we've got him a falconry day as he is into birds. I think for his 60th we got him a Tiger Moth flight. DH's dad went go-karting for his 70th!
Is there something similar you could do for your step dad? I'm not sure what would be available in his area.

If he like his garden, why not get the yellow book 2012. It does all the local private gardens that open for charity. Get it from www.Ngs.co.uk
