ooh, I just took a look at the OCA again & like the look of the people and places course as well as the Art of photography course (I did the other one last time, which was originally an introduction to digital photography one). One day when I have a bit more time and cash...

If you have photoshop or photoshop elements it's worth buying the relevant book by Scott Kelby. They are really very good for showing you in easy steps how to edit images.
Another vote for Scott Kelby here. I also found his Digital Photography books (1, 2 and 3 and now there's a 4th one) really really helpful too...

Suziicee, I'd be more likely to consider that course if you just came out and said you were from the company that runs it, as I suspect you are.

Pretending you are just some random posting about it makes me not want to go on it!

I realise this thread is from ages ago (catching up!) but I noticed the other day that Aspire have just started running courses for beginners. I haven't personally done any of their courses yet but I'd LOVE to, I know quite a few people who have been there and they come highly recommended.

Those look really good Diddlum. Not cheap though! The ones for beginners look fairly reasonable, but the others are quite a bit.
