Re: Anyone fancy cycling London at night for Camille's Appeal?

I would love to do it but, realistically, how hard will it be? If I start training tomorrow, could I reach the appropriate level of fitness?

I was debating whether I could cycle that far but now I want to go on the pub crawl instead! If I get sponsorship can I come?

I would say yes, but I have no idea about training programmes etc. My DH assures me that if you are reasonably fit and a keenish recreational cyclist you could get to the right level pretty quickly.

Wow, that'll be some ride. I might join you for the pub crawl...but only part of it, if you plan to do the whole route

Swiss Babe, agree with Sarah's hubby, it's a realistic target I think.

Now, all you pub crawl ladies, anyone fancy doing the Monopoly one at some stage? Or the Central Line one? Am sure we could get sponsorship plus collect loads as we go round!

Sponsorship to drink??? That sounds like my kind of sponsored event! It's important to play to your strengths

In all seriousness, I'd love to do something but with DH away during the week and a full time job, I just don't think I could get enough miles under my belt to be able to cycle 60 miles.

All welcome for the pub crawl, especially if we can get sponsorship and take a few pink CA buckets round the pubs ;)

Oh and yes Mrs B, but in the New Year, when I'm allowed to put my drinking boots back on.

I always like to hear new fundraising ideas, sounds good to me Mrs B! And yes CL, we can all load up with pink buckets, I agree.

Now, I'm off to bed, I expect to see huge numbers of additional pubcrawlers by the morning!

Oooh I would love to but I'm not sure if I could 1. be fit enough and 2. my crappy bike might not survive
