Help with a baby gift please

My friend is expecting a baby boy and her babyshower is coming up I dont have clue what to get her... please help me.

I was thinking of a no added sugar gift box set but dont know if I want to spend that much..... Im not being funny but she is VERY materialistic !!!

Any ideas??

Something from the White Company maybe? They do lovely sleepsuits, blankets etc and may appeal to her if she is into "brands" iyswim.

I asked my friend what she needed for her newborn & she said she had loads of stuff & needed nothing. I ended up getting her a gift bag & filling it with bibs, weaning spoons, sippy cup, bowls, teething beads and a 1st toothbrush - all stuff she wouldn't need for a while but not a duplicate gift.
Another friend I just got baby a small item of clothing (can't remember what) and her a magazine subscription for Glamour for her maternity leave/something to dip in & out of while looking after her littly.
Both of these presents seemed to go down well.

I always tend to buy amber necklaces for baby gifts these days. Even those who think they wouldn't work are usually willing to try them out if they aren't paying for them!
