Photography Girls: What's on your Christmas list?

I haven't really thought too much about Christmas yet. I usually ask for Jessops/Amazon vouchers and photography bits & pieces, but I'm pretty happy with my current camera/lens combination so I don't feel the urge quite so much this year. I just wondered what everyone else had on their Christmas wish list? Of the top of my head...

I thought this was kind of cute: http://loveaccessories.me/item_65/Pa...e-in-Black.htm

I could still do with a polarising filter
I quite like the idea of a lenspet
A nice camera strap - has anyone seen one (in UK)?
Maybe a subscription to one of the pro photography mags.
If I thought I could get away with it I'd ask for Photoshop & lightroom! Alas, Santa hasn't obliged for the past couple of years.
Maybe a new bag - something more practical for one camera/lens than the Lowepro backpack I have. Or something bigger for when I'm shooting weddings.

As I said, I'm struggling to get inspired for ideas!

If anyone's looking for a stocking filler, I would recommend a lenspen. They're really handy.

Definitely a new lens for me, I use the one that came with my 450d, but I don't really know where to start with lenses

Sam it all depends on what you mainly shoot. Then go from there

I have a nice long list of things id like but nothing id have the guts to ask anyone for due to the cost of them!

I have a few low cost ideas but they would probably never get used

Sam, what sort of things do you photograph? We might be able to suggest one.

For example, if you like photographing people/pets etc a great 1st lens to add to the kit lens is a 50mm prime lens. It's a prime lens (no zoom), but it's very good quality. Nicknamed the nifty fifty because of it's popularity v's affordability (under £100).

I would REALLY really love a proper camera - at the moment i have a point and shoot Fujifilm Finepix S2000HD - which is grand, but having used my brothers, i really really want a proper camera with the option of choosing lenses. Very very confusing as to which to go for - literally have dozens bookmarked, and then of course yes, there is a the cost issue so i may just wait for my after christmas bonus and get one then.

I don't think I have been a good enough girl to get my wish of a Canon 5d Mark II

Just thought of something really useful that i could use and would make a fab pressie and that's a waterproof rain cover, for me that would be a life saver since this is the season rugby is played!

Re: Photography Girls: What's on your Christmas list?

I really need a new camera bag. I have a lowepro rucksac style, but would like one that goes over my shoulder. It would need to fit a camera with lens attached, flash gun, spare lens and have somewhere to put hundreds of spare batteries & memory cards.

Without breaking the bank as I don't have any rich people buying for me - lol

    Any suggestions?

Is wanting one of those mugs that look like lenses too geeky?

Where can I find nice camera straps?
