Re: August discussion thread- Diane Chamberlain-The Midwife's Confession
I enjoyed reading this - it was well written and I wanted to find out what made Noelle kill herself, though I got to the end and wondered if I had missed the actual event? Obviously, we knew what she was guilty of, but what was the trigger?
I also "knew" really early on which baby had been swapped, and was half expecting another "twist" later on, but was disappointed that my theory (which I felt was really well sign-posted) was correct all along.
I also felt that the ending was a bit "let's tie up all the loose ends and have a happy ever after"... it was all a bit unrealistic.

Re: August discussion thread- Diane Chamberlain-The Midwife's Confession
Hmmm, i kinda felt this was assumed rather than established. Also he was the one person who knew about her history, or was it they ended up having an affair after the one night stand prior to the wedding? Unlikely but not confirmed...
I did enjoy it, found it an easy read and was fairly gripped i have to say. But again maybe too many threads and secrets running through, they could definetley have been fleshed out more or either had a longer book / a sequel?
Found the mother/daughter teenage relationship interesting too.
