Thoughts for the August Book Club?
It's that time again ladies, the month is racing by! Does anyone have anything that they would love to read in August?
My suggestion is the quite long (but if previous books are to go by very readable) The Distant Hours by Kate Morton
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Distant-Hour...1452675&sr=8-1
All ideas very welcome and I'll set a poll up.
Thank you!

Re: Thoughts for the August Book Club?
Oooh thanks SarahR I am just dashing in and still to comment on Caitlin Moran which I read on hols... I have read two previous Kate Mortons and thought they were OK - not quite as good as I hoped re the story line but well-written; I would happily buy another though as I find them easy to read and interesting

Great Sarah, I would be interested to see if anyone else enjoyed it as much as I did if it gets voted of course.

Re: Thoughts for the August Book Club?
I did have a couple of ideas - sort of following on from the fact that we read The Little Women Letters, which made me think of other classic 'teenage' and children's books from the past.
Anne of Green Gables by L Montgomery
What Katie Did by Susan Coolidge (I have my Mum's copy of this)
Heidi by Johanna Spyri
I realise I might be alone in wanting any of these though

Im not part of the book club but have just finished Night Road by Kristin Hannah. It is one of the best books I have read in a very long time. I lent it to a friend who gave it back the following morning having been up all night reading it!
