Re: Did anyone apply for Olympics tickets?
I think we can buy them too, from the German website, but Im not sure how much postage is.
I applied for 7 events and didnt get any, but I am over it now, as out of my circle of friends only one person got tickets (football) so we have other plans for the money

We've got £260 worth of either fencing, rowing or table tennis (hopefully not the latter although OH would be delighted
) I would have loved the rowing

Re: Did anyone apply for Olympics tickets?
I applied for about £500, and don't think I've got any
We're really close too, and could walk to some events.

Re: Did anyone apply for Olympics tickets?
DH applied for about £2,000 worth, and we had £360 taken - everything he applied for was the pretty much the same price (apart from the opening ceremony - we know we didn't get tickets for that), so it could be anything - cycling in the velodrome, football at Wembley or something else *vague as not really interested in sport*

Re: Did anyone apply for Olympics tickets?
I applied for only 4 equestrian tickets & got nothing. On the one hand I'm fine about it as we are skint just now but on the other I'm pretty furious... My council tax has been hiked up in London to pay for it plus the cross-country has no seats!!!!!! Who got the sodding tickets ?!!
Feel like telling Seb Coe to stick the Olympics up his.....
Sorry! Bout of anger!

Re: Did anyone apply for Olympics tickets?
We applied for Tennis and have had £90 charged to our card so think it must be those. No confirmation email yet but it did say 24th June I think didn't it that they'd confirm. We haven't used the Barclaycard for anything else so it must be the Olympic tickets.

Since I was last here I had a beautiful wedding in May 2009 and then gave birth to a gorgeous baby girl in May 2010. Very happy indeed.

Re: Did anyone apply for Olympics tickets?
We applied for £2k worth and got £110 of canoeing. Best friends applied for £3k worth and got about £300 worth but no idea what as everything was the same price. Mum applied for £320(I think) and got £260 of opening ceremony and at least two sessions of heptathlon (she applied for 4 sessions so she may have cheap tickets to all 4 sessions, we won't know until 24th).
Nobody else we know got any tickets.
Re Dertour, I went on last week and could have bought a chunk load of tickets but the only sports left were those I have zero interest in seeing. Apparently different countries used different ways to allocate their tickets, Germany was one of many countries who did a first come first served basis.

Re: Did anyone apply for Olympics tickets?
Well just got an email saying we didnt get the tickets we applied for
(my mum didnt have online banking, so we didnt know if anything had been taken) and we can apply for the next round, but there isnt much left!!
My mum has always wanted to see the Olympics, so I guess we will apply for something, but very disappointing.
