Re: April/May 2011 mummies over here please!

Happy 1st Birthday to Zach and Annabel for 17th April!!!

CH - Wow Zach is really grown up then with saying words!
    SS - Alice is gorgeous!!

HI to Vienna, Hedgehog and everyone else xx

Things ok here, apart from my PND.... Annabel is a very happy baby and loves attention of people even strangers! Shes still not crawling, shes such a dinky dot (still in 9-12mth clothes) and is quite happy sitting and playing with her toys. She does alot of bum shuffling though and prefers to try and stand. i think our laminate flooring is preventing her from trying to crawl more as shes had a few accidents with bashing her head on the floor when shes lunged forward. She still wakes every 3-4hrs at night for her milk, despite having quite a bit to eat during the day, health visitor says is just one of these things. She was christened yesterday so incorporated her 1st birthday with that and had a small party for her. My friend has just had her second baby, another girl and she weighed 9lb 12, as lovely as she is i am so not broody!
    Mummy to Three girlies.......DD1 9yrs........DD2 4yrs..........DD3 is 1yr old!

Re: April/May 2011 mummies over here please!

Can't believe he is 1 today gone so fast but to my little man, he has opened a few presents this morning but fine back to bed now. He can open the rest later.

We had a party for him on Saturday, il post a few recent piccies of him tonight.

PL Zach is still in 9-12 month stuff & I think he will be for awhile yet, he certainly isn't racing ahead in clothes like Alfie was. I think I'm going to get him weighed today he is so solid like Alfie use to be I think he is about 2st now

We have more teeth coming through at the bottom now he is off his food & drink has been since Sunday, he isn't even drinking a full amount 11 bottle ie 7oz in a day at the moment he isn't interested. He took 4pz in total yesterday.

Really thought he would be walking by today his birthday just because he has been cursing for ages but nope, i actually think it may be a little while off he hates his buggy though & has started to do what Alfie did & arch his back when trying to out him in his carseat

Hope everyone else & the babies are fine.. This thread has died now infect damsels as a whole has it's so dead now

Re: April/May 2011 mummies over here please!

I've logged on especially to wish Zach a very happy first birthday

I can't believe our babies are all turning 1. This year has gone by super fast.

George is now 10.5 months old and basically doing nothing! He can sit but refuses to and just goes rigid whenever you go to sit him on the floor. he loves to stand but hasn't got the balance to cruise around the furniture so he's permanently in his Chicco walker as my back is killing me from bending over all the time.

I'm still struggling with him. He's such hard work and so fecking miserable all the time. I don't know what to do with him half the time and just exist day to day but God knows how. Instead of savouring every moment I just want him to hurry up and walk so that he can be independent and hopefully more settled and happy. I've had 10.5 months with a child who cries and whines all day every day - I'm amazed I'm still alive quite frankly. Even my HV was shocked at how miserable he was when she came to do his 9 month check!

    Ho hum.

I hope everybody else is doing well. I don't get on here much anymore but lurk from time to time for the occasional update.

Re: April/May 2011 mummies over here please!

Just had a busy time up the soft play for Annabels first birthday and i tired her out so much as then she wouldn't settle in bed back home, i had to swaddle her a bit. There were babies there of ten months walking already, meanwhile theres my one year old happy just sitting! As long as shes happy i don't mind, she will get there in her own time. Now i am playing hide and seek with DD2 inbetween logging on to here. Time for a bit of birthday cake i think!

Whats Zach doing for his first birthday CH?

Sorry to hear you are having a hard time Chickster, I remember my DD2 being like that, she would be the only baby crying when i took her baby yoga etc and i would just leave feeling even more stressed. It does get better x

Happy birthday Zach and Annabel! This year really has gone fast.

You're right that this thread is quiet CH. TBH though I look at it every time I log on (most days, at least once!!) but rarely have the chance to write.

to you Chickster. James is similar, in that he hates sitting down, much prefers cruising or walking holding our fingers. At least he can walk just holding one finger now which means not so much bending down! I think he'll be happier too once he's independant. At the moment if I sit him down (to take R to the toilet, make lunch, whatever) he whinges and cries so much, I end up just picking him up again. Rod for my back I think! So you're not alone!

Anyway, hope Zach and Annabel have both had a lovely day!

Happy Birthday to Annabel and Zach

I can honestly say I have never known a year go so fast; it only seems a short while ago this thread was started!

Lovely to have updates on our babies It took Olive a while to sit up; she only started to do that at 9 months. She's started to crawl properly this week and is into everything, especially her brother's toys and electrical wires I think she's going to be one of those toddlers that opens every cupboard in the kitchen, we are already planning the child proofing! She is very reluctant to be spoon fed, wanting finger food instead. She sleeps through at night, but barely naps during the day - far too nosey

Chickster. Jack was a difficult baby in that he needed to be entertained constantly and its bl**dy hard work. Like you say, it may get easier once he's walking.

    Take care all xx

Re: April/May 2011 mummies over here please!

So have all the babies turnt 1 yet?.. Still mad to think how we all were this time last year. This past year really has flown by

Zach still isn't walking he is nearly 13 months I really am shocked considering he has been cruising since he was 10 months... He is standing for ages now balancing & yesterday took his 1st step towards me on his own so I hope it isn't to long. Although I go off on holiday Thurs for a week so he best not walk whilst I'm away il be gutted

Zachs at nursey now 1 day a week on a fri although he went a few days all day last week & as of Thurs is full time Thurs-next Friday with me nit being around. He has got on well thou no tears happy for me to leave which is great make it a lot easier but then Alfie was the same (until he got abit older about 3 I think)

Think we have conjunctivitis again, picked him up from nursery on fri & his eyes seemed weepy & have got worse over the weekend so he has a appointment today with the doctor, he is also pulling at his ears again so I think he may have a ear infection again... It's just constant with him at the mo ears & eyes, always seems to have a problem

He still hates his buggy going out is a nightmarehe just crys/winghes in it all the time so I don't real,y get to do what I need to in the week because of this & it drives me mad.. Trying to holiday shop is a mission as I can't try stuff on..

Think that's about it for us really

Hi all how are we thought I'd do a post as don't come on here that often anymore & all our kiddie winks are over 1

Zach is now 17 months & such a character he is full of it & keeps me on my toes he is into everything always climbing on things I'm surprised we haven't had any broken bones yet. Constantly climbing on the sofa & onto the window sill & climbing the dinning room table.

He is forever opening cupboards in the kitchen getting food opening the fridge & grabbing stuff out.

He is saying loads more, he is def more switched on than Alfie was at this age & they are soooo different as babies. Zach is a awful sleeper never had a problem
    with Alfie & bedtime

Out of a month we prob get 1 week he sleeps through the others he is asleep for 1.5hrs then wakes up & won't go back down for hours. He went down just before 7pm tonight woke at 8.30pm & is awake now crying in his room. Controlled crying doesn't work for him
    It did for Alfie

He still goes to nursery which he ses to love, got rid of his bugaboo the other day & now we have a proper stroller. He hates wearing his shoes lol when he is in his buggy/carseat or at nursery.

He is saying loads, understands do much, is making animal noises knows a lot of his body parts & is trying to say loads of new words.

    Piccie of him above
