Re: March 2011 - What have you bought this month?
weeeeeeeeeeell it IS a marathon but as I'm walking it and it's called the Moonwalk and not The London Marathon, you'd be surprised at how people go, - oh right, that - when you say you're doing a marathon
I'm hauling my sorry arse round 26 and a bit chuffing miles AND AND AND I'm doing it in the middle of the night
I did 10 miles at the weekend (hungover on Sun morning
) and actually I was surprised at how fit I apparently am. Even more surprised were the girls I'm doing it with. They're all runners and cyclists (nutters) and I was the only one who a) didn't hurt on the way round and b) didn't ache the next day
To be fair, I am 5 inches taller than the other girls, so, as I pointed out, they did actually walk double the distance I did
But I will admit I feel a lot more confident than I did before! It's not till May as well!
oh please please will people stop teasing us about the Next preview
I so so want to order Dita's top! And can't wait to see if there are any more lower wedges. I've ordered the gladiator wedges from there, the really high ones
but they're on a 6 week delay.
Dita - shouldn't your LTS blazer be here yet? So hope it works for you honey, I know how much you've got riding on it! But at least you've now got a good back up.
Minky, did your Boden jeans arrive yet? There were some really lovely vintage looking ones in there that I was thinking about ordering, a colour I don't think I have jeans in.... I've just no idea how they'd fit me. Plus I need a kickarse code. Is 15% the best going? I ordered M some shorts with my voucher
Katoid
for Friday!! How fabulous does that sound??
I shall be tramping round a park

Re: March 2011 - What have you bought this month?
My Boden jeans did indeed arrive and I sent the feckers straight back, the same day. Yawnsvillarama
, just really boring
, AND too big, which I was a bit
about but actually they are coming up big this year apparently. I'd say bargepole territory... I have seen some on the Mango website so if I can get my sorry ass into Westfield I'll check them out
.
Good for YOU for doing the Moonwalk
. Though how are you going to decorate a bra when you don't wear one?
I think it will be a fabulous challenge though I have to say I am
at you doing it in the middle of the night
WELL DONE!
I haven't checked Next out for cropped jeans
as I've gone all irrationally snobby on Next
but needs must!

Re: March 2011 - What have you bought this month?
Someone else mentioned ordering several of the same item in different sizes and them all being different. Your pair could be fine.

Re: March 2011 - What have you bought this month?
Kat I am very impressed
I did the 10 mile midnight one in Bristol and I didn't realise how much your body is ready to sleep at that time of night
I've got a very fit friend who cycles everywhere too and she was aching so badly, felt sorry for her but made me feel
about me too
You'll be great - I think its an amazing thing to do
We couldn't get in this year as we left it too late but hopefully next year we're going to do the half-moon. Well done Donna too
I wore my cargoes yesterday and they were so lovely and so comfortable - am very pleased

Re: March 2011 - What have you bought this month?
Just ordered this from Debenhams, not sure if it will be a keeper or not. £150 down to £108 with codes. Will be an ideal spring/summer bag if the colour and the squishyness of leather is right. But only one view of it on the website so difficult to see it well. Had a look for it instore today but they didn't have it.

Re: March 2011 - What have you bought this month?
My mother has done the Moonwalk twice and my father got one of the very few male places a few years ago (and wore a decorated bra
) and it is an amazing achievement that people often underestimate. Please make sure you send me the details of your sponsorship page so I can support you.
Now, back to more superficial matters.... Dita I love that blue and think it will look fab on you.
I have double sheeped Kat (as she predicted) and ordered the khaki BMB skinnies. I only hope they fit as well as the jeans as I love them so much and wish I'd bought two pairs as they are my ultimate HG jean. A couple of sale bits slipped into my basket too:

I've had to order 32" legs instead of the 34" I have in the jeans, but I'm kidding myself if I think I'm tall enough to actually need the 34" so fingers crossed the shorter length will be ok.
