Re: February 2011 - What have you bought this month?
Wow, good work, ladies, lots of lovely buys here
I exchanged my IO coat for the winter white one
I'm really pleased with it - it's a really good fit and the arms are super long
It's more cream than white so much more versatile than I was anticipating.

And because it needs a scarf

Used PL2P for 20% off at Debenhams and SHD1 for free delivery (although that code is only supposed to be used by cardholders
)

Re: February 2011 - What have you bought this month?
I keep being so tempted by that swallow scarf, even though I have tried it on twice and the colour does nothing for me. I wear a scarf 'against' my face so I can wear black (as that does nothing for me too) so there is no point if the colour is wrong

Great buys Fibe

Bluestar you are so funny
Bluebabe good for you on your 10%
Dita - I have serious, serious coat envy :greenmonstersmilie:
I am so trying not to buy anything at the moment but I do feel the need for another maxi skirt as I'm loving wearing mine again today

Re: February 2011 - What have you bought this month?
Lovely coat Dita
and will look so fab with that scarf.
Fibe, lovely lovely things! Those scarves are all gorgeous
, esp the paisley one
.
I'm with TP on trying not to buy, though I'm not sure how long I'm going to be able to resist the lure of the Boden catalogue!

ETA I just love that cable hat
, I SO wish I could wear one of those and look cool, rather than an utter dork
, I just adore them!

My Debenhams cashmere cardi came and is tiny. The dress didn't arrive - they sent a summer top instead
. Both going back.

Re: February 2011 - What have you bought this month?
Ooh I am tempted by this - but as a longline top as all of my just frickin' shrink and end up as tops

Deets, glad you swapped it for the cream, you can tell how much you love it.
I love the swallow scarf but I'm actually going off scarves
and am going to get into necklaces again this s/s.
I bought this for DD1 in TKMaxx the other day but plan on nicking it myself

Whoops super big

Re: February 2011 - What have you bought this month?
Lovely necklace, Elle. Is it choker length?
I forgot to add
I ordered these two rose gold bits from ASOS the other day - they were reduced then but they're full price now
The chain on this is really, really long:

Hairband

Oh I adore that hairband, sooo cute

The necklace isn't a choker, no. but it is short, sort of rests just on my clav

Re: February 2011 - What have you bought this month?
OK I've had a bit of an M&S Sale brain dump, mainly cardigans!

Plus an exciting sports bra and two thrilling fleece tops for running. Sorry for tiny images, can't work out how to get bigger ones off their sites. Why don't retailers realise how important web forums are in their marketing???!
Supposed to arrive Sat (got a free delivery code for nominated day over £150 FREENDAY).
Apparently my final two pairs of Next shoes, which require a signature, have been left by my greenhouse. I can only assume that the bay tree signed for them.

Re: February 2011 - What have you bought this month?
Love all of these
that swallow scarf is gorgeous, I keep eyeing it up, but I'm just far too messy to even contemplate it
That is lovely
I wish we had a Primark near me
The pink bag I got is too small, but I'm trying to save atm anyway so
I got this scarf from Debenhams for £6, I'd been eyeing it up for a while, I really like it

Re: February 2011 - What have you bought this month?
Whoa Deets you is brave!
Tres glam - will be amazing against your lovely dark hair.
Weeeellll, am I last to receive my Toast tunic? Hmmm.... must admit my first reaction was that it looks a bit BHS

Pros:
Looks nice from the front
Quality is really lovely
Bit darker than looks online - true bone rather than cream
Olive stripe matches my trousers exactly (happened to be wearing when it arrived)
Glad I didn't size down as needed my usual size for hips/bum
Cons:
I'd prefer it a bit more fitted, esp the arms and back
Lots of fabric at back of waist/upper body, which isn't hugely flattering imo.
Verdict: Keep! Mainly as the quality is truly exceptional imo. I'm just not used to wearing loose fit things, so need to get my head around that! And it will be nice as a hidey top as Spands used to call them.
Plus it looks nice with a skinny tan plaited belt around the upper waist, if the bagginess does do my head in.
Am actually wishing I'd ordered a couple more things to try, now that I know how lovely the quality is, but £4.95 p&p twice in one month -
!!

And there endeth my thinking out loud process.

Re: February 2011 - What have you bought this month?
Sparks still not got mine. I am not too optimistic now, given that I am a 10 up top and a 10-12 down below. MEH
I think it will be all the wrong proportions on me. Hey ho

Re: February 2011 - What have you bought this month?
This thread is moving so fast, excellent work
Particular shout outs to CiL's satchel, Deets cream coat and rose gold jewellery and ED's stolen necklace.
My Plumo leopard jacket arrived and I love it
When I first opened the parcel I was a bit
as it wasn't as bold a print as I'd hoped, but the fabric is gorgeously soft and when I tried it on it looked fab and probably suited me more than a bolder print would have done.
I've ordered these two camisoles to layer with cardigans and my lace skirt for Spring. I had £40 of MW loyalty points to use so they were effectively buy one get one free

I was hoping they'd be on NAP too as their model shots are so much nicer, but sadly not so you'll have to imagine how nice they really are

Re: February 2011 - What have you bought this month?
I'm a similar shape and find that with a lot of those shaped tops / tunics, they gape massively around the waist and back on me.
CiL can't believe that satchel is from Primark
Dita that coat is fab, but I hate to put a downer on the coat / scarf combo......I don't think it will go
The scarf is very white and I just don't think it would go with the cream of the coat?

My tunic arrived too and I like it for all the reasons Sparkly said :) wish it was a bit tighter on the arms but on the whole I like it.
If anyone has a size 12 (or even a 10) in the greeny one that they're going to send back could you please let me know?
Will check all the recent purchases later when I'm back on my laptop, blummin internet connection has gone down again and browsing on my blackberry is not the same!Jo x Wife to an amazing husband and Mommy to 3 beautiful girls

Re: February 2011 - What have you bought this month?
Just had a look online and the green one appears to be back in stock (only size 16 oos), I had checked last night but most were oos then. Hope this helps!
Loving the thread, very inspirational, although my bank account (or husband!) won't be so impressed!!!

Re: February 2011 - What have you bought this month?
"clav"

Oh, it was such a lame justification, though
You should be getting commission as it's your pics that made me reeeeeeeeally want the scarf
tbh, I anticipate wearing it more with casual coats - it will be great with my parkas & stuff. The IO coat has buttons which mean that my delicate scarves (which rarely see the light of day as I'm nervous of getting them caught in zippers) can get a few outings
Thanks
I've had a cream coat before which I managed to keep fairly clean so I'm optimistic about this one
I'm sure you'll wear the Toast tunic, even if it's just for knocking about it and not out-out iyswim. It feels so lovely on
If they've still got it in stock in your size, you could always return the original (you should get your original postage costs refunded as you're returning the whole order) and re-order along with some other bits
Did you get a Free Returns sticker with your order? And hasn't it come down a bit in price since we ordered? I can really recommend the double faced t-shirt I ordered - it's lovely, a fab length for tallies
(although I suppose you're only average height at 5ft8
)
Yay on your jacket, Shiny, and fab MW bargains

Re: February 2011 - What have you bought this month?
OMG, I can't believe I forgot a purchase
I bought a pair of boots on my way to pick up Max from school
Half price in Clarks. And the size 8 fits

So that's 3 pairs of boots in a month
but they were all heavily reduced and totally make up for the fact that I don't think I bought any boots in 2010
I'd check my spreadsheet
but my laptop is on its last legs and I don't want to launch anything until I run a backup.
