What cat litter do you use?

We're having one of my mum's cats in a few weeks, once we're settled in our new house, and I think I'm going to keep her as a mostly indoor cat so will need a tray and litter for her. What do you use?

Whatever is cheapest on www.zooplus.co.uk

(they are on quidco). I buy their food in 10kg bags there too, it works out really reasonable.

We use the wood pellet type from Pets at Home

It seems more natural IYKWIM and can be put on the compost heap in moderation. The cats seem to like it too.

Catsan. We've found it the least stinky for 3 indoor cats.

Morrisons clumping cat litter does the job and not expensive.

It's a bit more expensive, but more economical than it appears as it's far easier to just lift the wee/poo out and top up. I always found myself having to empty the whole lot with other brands.

Oko plus clumping cat litter from the petwarehouse online, we buy a massive bag and it lasts forever. It is flushable and mostly non tracking so not too messy.

I use the cheapy Tesco own brand stuff. My Cats poo doesn't smell strongly though otherwise I might try something more expensive.

I used to use catsan. I now use tesco own brand. If the cat is in all the time, I think catsan is worth the extra money, because, as others have said, it reduces smells and is easier to change. Ours are out quite a lot and the tesco one is ok. If we go away and they are shut in (with someone else looking after them) I get a bag of catsan.
