Christian Damsels 2011
I thought I'd start a new thread for a New Year.
So how is everyone?
Bernadeena, how is Emma doing? I hope her treatment continues to go well.
Chuckle Monster - hope the exams went OK and your stress levels are a little lower now?
Sharon - how are you? I saw your wonderful news on your thread and hope the tiredness passes soon.
Dr Spouse - how are you coping with the adoption waiting? I presume no news yet?
Calfee? Rowan Tree? Squirt? Mrs Sweetcheeks? and anyone else I've missed....
We're well. God sorted the church situation but not in the way we expected!! DH has been offered a new job so we will be moving and we now think that all our unsettledness was about exploring what we want from our new church. The move will be great for us as a family as its takes us far enough away from the kids birth family and no-one need know they are adopted. We are going over this weekend for our first visit, including a church on Sunday, so please do pray we find the right church, schools and home for us as a family.
Love and prayers to all
Bop

Hi Bop. Good thread!!! Yeah I'm keeping ok except sinus/colds etc nothing serious though so I'm happy. God knows what he's doing!!! Got my scan appointment today so that's exciting. Can't believe this is happening again. I was starting to think it'd not happen ever again.
Great about the move Bop. So exciting for you. I'll pray about church/schools etc. Do you know the area? What sort of denomination do you belong too? xxxxMummy to Felicity

Hi Bop, how lovely of you to start a new thread and remember so much!! I'm doing well thank you, passed my exam with a good mark which I was really chuffed about! Now have 2 essays and a portfolio to put together before May and it'll all be done. Quite overwhelming amount of work still to be done but I'll try to keep on top of it! Congratulations to you all on the prospect of a new start, I bet that will be really lovely for you, especially not having to be so secret about the minibops too. I'll pray that you find the right house/church/school etc and that it's really easy for you to settle.
Hi Sharon
Congratulations!! I'm over the moon for you and your new addition, will pray that the scan goes really well today
Lots of love to you all xxx

Re: Christian Damsels 2011
Hi everyone, no news for us, still waiting for paperwork (yawn). Have just been given a date for our annual review (we can't make it, and it was at the 11 month mark, not quite sure why!)
On slightly more spiritual matters, we have a nice (relatively) new vicar, I was round at the vicarage last night discussing something to do with Brownies (the previous vicar never invited me round so that's a step up!), he's great fun, we were laughing over how incredibly unsuitable the prescribed readings were for Mothering Sunday (I've volunteered some of the girls to do the readings that day). You couldn't make it up

Sharon - hope the scan went well today. In terms of denomination we currently go to a CofS but I am a CofE at heart - DH wanted to go to a CofS when we moved back up here, but even he is open to other options this time around.
CM - glad you did well in your exams and I'm sure you'll do well in the coursework too.
Dr Spouse - waiting is hard...hope something happens soon. Good to hear you have a new vicar who sounds more fun that your previous one.
Thank you all your prayers for us - I am getting quite anxious about stuff (mainly decluttering) so prayers for trust, peace and inspriation to clear out would be good.

Re: Christian Damsels 2011
LOL I'm such a muppet I was like why does everyone think I had my scan yesterday and then I reread my post. I had meant to say that I got my scan invitation letter today and it was something to look forward to but totally didn't write that LOL. So my scan is actually 2nd week in Feb DUUHH sorry!!!! Thanks though
Nice that your girls can do the readings that day Dr Spouse :D
Thanks Chuckle monster. Oh I'm sorry you've got to remind me what you're studying for lovie. I'ms o bad and so embarasssing since BOP seems to remember everything about everyone lol Hugs xxxxx
Oh bop quite often the thought of it is much worse than the reality. When we moved here it was a lot of work but I realised the less I thought of it the more I got on with it and it's a great feeling of satisfaction when it's all done and dusted. And so much fun finding places for your stuff in the new house. Exciting for kids too!!! When is the move?

Re: Christian Damsels 2011
Haha Sharon, bless you! We'll pray for the scan in Feb then
I'm a neonatal nurse and my course is a critical care course designed to go further in depth for NICU nurses. As my nursing qualification is degree level at the moment I can work at a masters level now so when my course is finished in May (and then after I've recovered for a bit!) I can think about doing the last few modules and maybe writing the dissertation and getting my full masters. Would have to find funding though, the hospital hasn't any money left

Re: Christian Damsels 2011
Bop just looked back at the old thread - my memory is not that good! Thanks for reminding us what you are doing CM - I knew it was prem baby related.....Do you want to go to the Masters; if so I hope there is a way to find the funding.
Sharon - hope your scan goes well in Feb - I thought it was a bit early!
Our weekend was exhausting and a bit of a culture shock - not sure we found anywhere we liked to live but we did find a fabulous church. The east of Scotland is very different to the west! We're hoping to move May/June but not sure yet if we'll buy or rent as we're not sure how long it will take to sell this.

Re: Christian Damsels 2011

We're a little bit unsettled in our church at the moment -it's going through a period of change so I'm sure it will take time to sort itself out - and actually a bit unsettled in the area we live as well. We've been considering a move to a totally different area but it's all so up in the air and we've got decisions coming up about DH's job.
