Re: Hello! My birth story (sensitive).
How frightening GS. I'm sorry, sounds like such a terrifying and awful experience - for them not t have time to explain to you what was happening and why...
I'm so glad that you and Efrim are home safely. Rest up and recover, the advice given here to keep talking to us/friends/MW is good. I would make a list of your questions and concerns so that you can sit down with someone in the know and work through your list to get the answers you need.
Take care. Jo xx

Re: Hello! My birth story (sensitive).
I'm so glad that you are both doing well now. I had an emergency c-section with DD and it was very traumatic, and that was with my lovely DH next to me. I can't imagine what it would be like going through that alone
.
Quite a few people have mentioned that your hospital will probably have birth counseling available - if they do, great and use it when you're ready - if not (mine didn't) it is still worth pushing to talk to someone, I went through my notes with a consultant about 3 months after it happened and it helped me.
Oh, and as well as the 'well as long as you're both ok' comments, you may also get the extremely annoying people who think that everything was super easy because you had a c-section.
again.

Sounds like quite a sudden scary emotional birth, but I'm very glad he is with you safe and well. Huge congratulations to you, enjoy all those gorgeous newborn snuggles, and make sure you take things easy for the next few weeks.
