Aldi pizza for dinner -
It's really nice. I've added a little more cheese but otherwise it's great.
Green pesto -
Redcurrant puff biscuit things -
totally undistinguishable from M&S ones
Choceur chocolate with whole hazelnuts - nice but I prefer Sainsburys as the chocolate is a tiny bit darker.
Topstar, I definitely saw fish fillets in the freezer section. They had the usual battered fish, fish cakes etc but also frozen fish fillets. Salmon and white fish too I think.xx Hermie xx

The chocolate mice! Milk mouse I think they're called.
Also Austins, their own version of Pimms, it's nearly indistinguishable and £5.99 a bottle!

Oooh!! I need this! Wish Aldi would come to Australia. Some states have Lidl, but we don't even have them.

We have been shopping mainly in Aldi since posting this thread, really enjoy their food. Avacados are just fab.
I like the shopping experience too, less choice, no complicated 'offers' & introduction some surprise extra items weekly.
DS love their nuts. Nappies are great.

Re: Aldi - Whats good?
I think that tommorrow before Sainsburys I will head to Aldi and check out what is there, I don't think I've been there before....if it saves some money, it must be good!

Re: Aldi - Whats good?
VC I used to go to asda first then Aldi for the offers then spend the whole time walking round complaining that I had just bought xyz for more than it was in aldi.
Now I go to aldi first and can easily save £40 just by doing that. Still have to go to asda for certain bits

Re: Aldi - Whats good?
Thats what I'll do Clowe, will go to Aldi tommorrow to check it out and to see what I can get and what prices (I have a calculator in my head and can remember the prices of the stuff I regularly buy in sainsburys) and get what we need that it is cheaper and then on the weekend will go to sainsburys for the extras.....DS's jaffa cakes probably as he likes the own brand ones from sainsburys!!!

Re: Aldi - Whats good?
I've been shopping in Aldi recently too - still need to go to Asda for a few things though eg I'm lazy and buy pre chopped / grated / cut veg & salad quite a lot and you can't get that in Aldi.
I agree that the dishwasher tablets are good - some of my teaspoons had been getting a bit dull and they are now shinier after just a couple of washes with the Aldi tablets. Crisps, cooked meats, breakfast cereals and biscuits have all went down well here - nothing I can think of that I've bought and wouldn't buy again.
It takes me half the time to do my shopping in Aldi too as there isn't as much selection and no distractions with clothes, electricals, etc

I've started wearing their serum, have tried most types & their mature skin serum seems to work for me.
We do majority of our shopping there now, love their Thursday & Sunday deals.
If you keep their fruits in fridge they last longer.

Re: Aldi - Whats good?
Day cream is fab. Parma ham is lovely. Infact its easier to say what I dont like which is not a lot. Ive just been today and spent £90 and my cupboards are bursting.
I dont drink it but apparently one of their red wines is the best ever
