Where's the best (i.e. cheapest) place to buy seeds, nuts etc

      In reasonable quantities...

I make my own muesli and go through quite a bit of sunflower, pumpkin seeds, linseed etc and it's flipping expensive to buy from the supermarket and Holland and Barrett.

      Are there any other options?

We have a shop near us which I know is a chain - I think it's called Julian Graves? Something like that anyway. They seem to be much cheaper and always have offers on various things so would be worth stocking up on with whatever what was on offer. Not sure if they sell online..

Another vote for JG, they have quite regular offers on various nuts/seeds etc.

I also make my own muesli, and I'm currently addicted to having it with soya fruit yoghurt.

We don't have one of those but I will try online, thank you.

      Moff, I don't really have a recipe, but here's what I do.

Put a whole lot of rolled oats (about 2/3 of the amount that will fit into your chosen container) in a large saucepan/casserole. Add about half a cup of coconut, and about 1/3 of a cup each of sunflower and pumpkin seeds. Then about 1/4 cup linseed.

Stir over a high heat until you can smell the oats toasting - stir frequently or the seeds will catch. The linseed should pop and maybe the pumpkin seeds too.

Turn off, leave to cool then add dried fruit - I like cranberries and sultanas or chopped apricots, and some mixed nuts (chopped or broken is good). Stir and put into a container.

no added sugar or fat, but I guess it's probably quite high in both due to the nuts and fruit. We sprinkle it on top of our normal cereal though rather than eating a whole bowl of it.

      Enjoy!

I do quite similar to Minky and toast oats, flaked almonds etc, add dried fruits, any other nuts. Then when I dish it up I slice some fresh fruit into it, add a pot of alpro fruit yoghurt and a splash of water to loosen it, and mix. It's REALLY yummy and keeps me going right til 1pm without snacking.
