Help with Icing pretty please
Had some divine cupcakes yesterday and the icing/frosting was quite hard and not soft/soft - basically it held its shape really nicely. How do I replicate this texture at home as my buttercream is always soft?
Bailieys was to die for!

Hi, I think a lot of it is to do with the time you spend whipping the bejesus out of it so its lovely and soft but still pipeable iyswim? Its a little bit of an art knowing when to stop adding icing sugar so that it will pipe easily but still stand up rather than flop

My butter icing always hardens slightly after a while anyhow
