Boy build with a booty? What style/cuts of trousers?

I think I'm kind of a boy-build in shape. Broad shoulders, fairly slender, somewhat straight waist. However, my buns and thighs are those of a curvier woman, and I think because of this I cannot find trousers that fit my buns but don't gap in the waist. I

hate shopping! I also find that if it fits, it often sags down in the crotch and makes me look frumpy.

What do you find best/do you think would fit someone like me best? High waist? (So old woman!

) Low rise reveal way too much butt cleavage. I think I need elastic in the waist, at least the back- do they make these? Like maternity wear but backwards.

I am looking for a name of the style/cut (boot cut, etc) that seem to work best with this build. I don't really need anything specific to look at, just trying to figure out for future shopping. I was so frustrated yesterday!

When I was looking for jeans I went to House of Fraser and got a 'Brand specialist' which is really a personal shopper.

You don't have to pay, I was just wondering through the jeans department and I told her what I wanted, ad she got several pairs out for me to try on.

I didn't end up buying anything from there, but she gave me some good ideas.

That would be helpful. Something in my mind sometimes doesn't translate the appearance on the hanger to the appearance on my body and I probably could use an expert!

Levis have just brought out new cuts of jeans which are meant to suit every body shape called Curve ID - you sound fabulous to me!

just go into a shop, when you have some time on your hands and ask an assistant for some help, they will propbably be glad to

I would go into a shop where the assistants are able to give you proper fashion advice (as opposed to gassing with their mates

) and ask for their help

Gap is an obvious one, although the advice can be a bit hit and miss..

Nice idea! I looked at their website and all of their perfect body types look exactly the same to me. Models!!

Gosh you were up early today, or had you not been to bed yet?

Let me know how you get on if you try them... I have a different body shape from you but suffer the same back of waist issue and it does my head in. Do you find that if you wear a belt to hold them in at the back it hoiks them up so much you end up with camel toe at the front? Or is that just my issue?

I normally don't wear a belt because I hate the way they make my shirt look if it happens to hang over.

It's probably the way to go, though (minus the camel t!).
