Sharon Osbourne to have gastric band removed

Sharon has reveled that later this year she is having her gastric band removed from her stomach.... The 54 year old says her stomach once soared to 16st 4lbs and she had the device fitted 10 years ago...

Last week she said she is having it taken off before Christmas, saying that over time her stomach has stretched.. She says she will need counselling to avoid falling back into negative eating patterns

I didnt no she had this done

I read in her book that she'd had it done, but I didn't realise it was still there.
I would have thought that 10yrs of it being there would have "trained" her iyswim?

I thought you had to alter your eating habits and lose some of the weight before having that procedure so theyd perform it?
Surely she should have realised she'd have to eat right to stop it happening again.

She's had a ton of liposuction.

The problem with things like gastric bands, and diet drugs, is that they don't address the reasons you over eat in the first place. No doubt she has had, and will have, some therapy to deal with this.

A colleague of my mum's (She's a nurse) has had one of these fitted, supposedly it's meant to stop you from eating as much as you normally would, as your stomach is smaller.

This fool of a woman takes fish and chips into the office as she simply cannot re-train her eating habits, and then feels so, so violently sick from having eaten it all and there being no room for it in her stomach, has to throw up.

Now there's an example I will never forget!

Well her biography sold well, perhaps she's thinking of doing a Jordan and getting another one out in the next couple of years?
