. Maybelline the Falsies Volume express mascara

Lauren Luke reviewed volumising mascaras in the Guardian yesterday. She gave 5 stars to the Maybelline one so went out and bought it and I have to say it's fab. No clumps, just super looking long separated lashes. I only put one coat on as wasn't going anywhere, but I reckon if you put quite a bit on it could look fab. Ideal for me as I don't have long to put makeup on in the morning and haven't 5 minutes to layer the mascara to get it to look decent, so am v.impressed.

    She said the following:

Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express £7.99, available nationwide.
Lauren says: This gave plenty of volume and I will definitely use it again. Removes easily, too, which is a bonus. ★★★★★

ooh kittikins which other ones did she review? Is that the only one she gave 5 stars to?

I shall be looking for a new mascara soon and I haven't bought one for well over a year as I got a super deal on 3 Max Factor False Lash ones but I knew that there were probably better ones on the market now!

Is this the purple (pink?) one? (I can never remember the names!) I love it, one coat looks amazing. I can't wait till my mascara is finished so I can buy it again, I picked up the yellow one last time and its not as good

A YSL one came out with 4 stars but she was put off by the price. It is the pink one jamtart.

Is it the one in the pink tube?
I disliked it so much, it's been in my makeup box un-used ever since, after 2-3 wears.
Might not be that one, but I think it is..

I really found it too *wet* and when I tried to build it, it clumped badly. And then it flaked throughout the course of the day.

It's not often I dismiss a mascara so soon, but I really didn't like it.. I even posted here about it, if I remember correctly..

    Horses for courses though hey

I'm the other way around. I get on better with the yellow one. I didn't like the brush on the pink one.

However *TOP TIP* Sweetcheeks I used the brush from the yellow one in the tube of pink mascara to use it up and it worked just fine. (You have to unscrew the yellow brush from the yellow tube everytime though as I don't think it fitted in the pink tube, so a bit of a faff but worth it IMO to use up the pink tube.)

Cymber, that would mean me buying the yellow one (again).. And I really didn't like that either.. I must bin the falsies one - I think it must have been in my stash for at least 6 months un-used now, as I got it when I was still working..
