Grrrrrrrrrrrrr so so annoyed
On a tuesday I pay a friend of mine to watch L whilst i'm working.
This afternoon has been really hot and she basically insisted that L and her son and other kids to take their tops off whilst they were playing in the back garden (logan actually protested and didnt want to but was persuaded to), they did have some suncream on but still when i've picked L up tonight he has a really quite badly sunburnt shoulder

I'm so upset and concerned for L and have told him in future no matter what anyone else says or does hes to keep his top on and hes happy to do that and promises to but still i'm so
at his burnt shoulder tonight

She pointed out he was "a bit sunburnt on his shoulder" but then changed the subject

I do not blame you its not good at all to let the kids get burned. I would mention it. Put lots of moisturiser on or even a slightly damp towel to cool it down. Hope he is ok. xx

Savlon works a treat. I've found its worth investing in a decent suntan lotion. Especially when on offer. Lather your kid up in the morning and at least they are protected.
My boys are so, so fair. So as of end March they know not to get dressed till coated. They also get coated after school. The other week exOH brought the boys back sunburned and I'm still nagging him about it.

What about applying 6hr sun cream (soltan or what ever) BEFORE he puts his shirt on anyway especially if you aren't sure he will do so, after all he's only 5, its a lot for him to remember in say a water fight etc.
We often put cream on ours befoe the shirts- even still do for DD2 as we don't eant her cleaveage or the back of her neck to get missed.
