Quick advice needed please - should I be concerned
Is anyone around to give some advice please?
Amelie is unwell and I don't know if I should be concerned. She was fine when she woke up this morning and still OK at 12.00noon but by the time I picked her up at 1.45pm she was definitely beginning to dip. She's now got a temp (I gave her Calpol about half a hour ago), has fallen asleep 4 times this afternoon (she's asleep now next to me), says she hurts and doesn't like me touching her skin, she's eaten and drunk nothing and is teary when she's awake. I can't see any rash.
Just a virus or would you be concerned? It's the falling asleep all the time that I'm more concerned about. She's 3 and a half.
Thanks so much.

Just keep an eye on her, give her calpol / nurofen when she needs it and offer lots of liquids.
Sleep is the way the body repairs itself and gets over illness.
Mine always sleep when they are ill (which is a plus for me too)
hope she feels better soon
Could she be brewing chicken pox?

Try giving NHS direct a ring, they've been really good in the past when I've been concerned about Fin. Poor thing, hope she gets better soon.

I'd call the docs / out of hours service - if you're worried then it's worth it for piece of mind. I hope she's more herself soon poor thing

Thanks guys. I'm sure it is just a virus
I can almost imagine how she feels as I've felt like it myself - all shivery and achey and my skin hurts when I feel like that. I'll give NHS direct a call - thanks for the number DiscoDiva

Re: Quick advice needed please - should I be concerned
Could she have an ear infection maybe? Or a UTI? I imagine she is feeling sore because of the temperature.
It could well be a virus, but the two above are also things that my DS has had that have made him like this, so I thought it was worth a mention.
Hope she is feeling better soon.
