Re: JUNE - What have you bought this month?

Gosh I feel so out of the loop!

Peony, love the 1st and 3rd trews and Oana's Miss S trews. Calfee, great shorts & Joanna - PITA re your dress but love the new one (must resist!). Dita, cuff is TDF (& )... I forget the rest - you've all been so busy. As have I ...

can't find the things I liked online but was totally in esp with a pair of khaki slightly stretchy trews with satin cargo-esque trim (sound grim but totally weren't!)

it did come & I think it's super cute, but I'm not sure that it goes with very much of my stuff I've bought so much I have to take some back so I'm deciding what's least painful to part with!

It's def not as comfy as the jersey ones as it has no stretch, and yes it's quite warm as there is just so much fabric! I do still like it though. Is fab with 'our' AS denim gilet. Plus I've gone off my Oasis one a bit as I'd like it to be a couple of inches longer

And I'm definitely avoiding trends that aren't flattering to my shape whereas before I'd have probably worn them anyway (harems, maxis etc).

In theory, my current look is slightly more expensive basics, with a couple of statementy accessories. We'll see how I get on

Have CdC reduced *the* leather jacket? Probably not

eta I didn't see the jacket, but the grey bag I loved was reduced to about £120!

Re grown up clothes, yes - I think I'm finally learning what styles actually suit me. I used to be able to get away with a lot of things that just don't do it for me anymore. I think I was reluctant to accept that, but it's a sensible approach if it makes you look better! (you're good at that Kat!) Also, I tried on some lovely quality things recently and just felt more grown up and 'expensive' in them. Of course I didn't buy them! I've bought a real mix of things that I do really like, but they're all a bit samey and don't really work together v well - and yes I'm very guilty of bargain purchasing just because it's cheap! I'm REALLY trying to only buy things that I truly love and will wear a lot.

I saw the most gorge trousers in Zara y'day - silly manager pointed me in the direction of new season stuff, which of course I liked a million times more than the ones on sale . They were a kind of caramel, tobacco coloured pair of peg legs, with quite a high waistband with lots of detail, loose but narrow legs and rolled up to 7/8 length. They were £35 instead of £17 sale pair, so I'm planning to take back some 'not sure' stuff and get them instead. They will be fab with my new sandals too (though they cut my feet to shreds if I wear them too long ).

I've bought stuff that isn't online anymore, mostly Warehouse

Grey peasant tunic dress with jewel coloured print (Elle you have this too!)

White oversized tee with scoop neck, rolled up sleeves and little pocket

Slouchy dress-come oversized tee in dark taupe-almost-grey with charcoal blotchy butterfly print ( this!)

Dullish gold necklace - the drapey bits are cleavage length = perfect with low cut tops!

I'm taking back the taupe silk/lace dress as I think a daytime style would be more useful and the aubergine cutwork top was GORGE but blimmin had a hole in it! grrr...

The M.Odabash for Debs swimsuit I ordered was too short in body & jewelled sandal buckle was broken, so saved another few quid there. And no swimsuit for hols despite us leaving in 2 days.

    Do I win today's prize for ?

    Sparkly!!

I know what you mean about having slightly more quality/expensive things - it does make you feel better doesn't it Although saying that I totally love, love, love all your clothes anyway

Funny you say about the Red Herring maxi too, I've got one from last year and there is just too much material in the skirt bit and I fear I look about 6 months gone in it am going to speak to my friend to see if she can make it into a skirt for me as the material is gorgeous but bit about the cut.

Well I've decided on my Figleaves buys

    I'm keeping

in blue with the matching high frilly bottoms lots of support and pretty gorgeous too. although I've not worn a bikini for too many years I figured I could get away with it in the back garden and away on holiday

And another one which isn't on the site anymore - its a brown all in one with a halter neck and a plunging front with a ring between the boobs - terrible description, gorgeous costume.

Just got to try to break it very gently to Mr TP now how much it all cost
