Did DD2 *see* something?

We visited tamworth castle with my dad yesterday. There are long standing rumours of 2 ghosts there and a "haunted" room. We didn't talk about this at all as I didn't want the kids to be scared.
DD2 is 2yrs 8months. As soon as we entered the castle she was tense and wanted to get out, it wasn't especially dark/spooky iysim. We went up to the tower and then came back down and went into a very nice room, there was just childrens schoolwork on the wall, a light coloured tapestry, high ceiling and a big window - so nice and light. I was carrying DD2 and she really really tensed up and said "I don't like ghosties, get out now" and I said "there's no ghosties here" and she said "yes there is" (looking to the corner), so I said it was ok we'll go and she just kept saying "I don't like ghosties"., The room was above the alleged haunted room.
She didn't relax until we were out of the castle in the courtyard sitting on a bench.
I asked her about it later and she said she saw a man, the haunting rumours always feature 2 ladies, so it doesn't tally up with that.
I'm usually a non-believer, but what do you think?
I didn't know whether to post it on the friends of the castle website.

No I don't think so - it was really quiet, we were the last ones to go in before a wedding was due to start, so there was no-one behind us.
It was really odd - some of the rooms were dark and had wood panelling, coats of armour etc, things that might be a little frightening but this one was light and airy.

How does she know what a ghost is? I mean why would she call an apparition a ghost?

I'm sure she's overheard something.

IKWYM, I had this conversation with my dad - the only place she's got the word from is the Wii, on mario kart with the white ghosts. I don't see how she linked it? DD1 has told her in the past she is scared of ghosties but I don't think she knows what it means. So no, I don't know why she said it.
The way she got so tense was weird, but yes I see what you mean for a 2yr old to link something she was unsure of with a ghost does suggest she'd overheard something.
