Kids' birthday parties - Sat or Sun?

I've always sort of assumed this "should" be a Saturday thing; at least that's when we get most invites for. But I think DD2's half-birthday this year (which is when we have her party) would land on a Sat which clashes with something else. So I'm thinking is there any reason for Saturday not Sunday? Is it less convenient for people to attend? If you got an invite, would it be easier for you if it were Sat or Sun?

I dont mind either. Have had most parties on Saturday round here, but had one on a Sunday at 10.30am and lots of kids there.

We had L's party on a Sunday as that's when her birthday was and I work on Saturdays. Nearly everyone came. I think Sundays tend to be a bit more relaxed, so might suit people better?

I quite like parties on a Sunday personally. We often have busy Saturdays, whereas Sundays tend to be less so. I've had a few parties on Sundays for my kids. We tend to have them from 3-5 so that it doesn't cut into the day. But I'd do what suits you tbh!

We go to church on Sundays, so Saturdays for us.

I prefer Sundays tbh as usually if there is some thing arranged with family its usually a saturday. I don't mind Sundays but not a stupid time like the last party Lucy went to, 5-7pm on a Sunday night i'd prefer 12-2pm or something.

Definitely Saturday here Don't know why really -maybe because Sunday is considered 'family' time

Either! Sundays are usually quieter for us, if we have plans they're usually on a Saturday but there's not much in it tbh.

DD's party this year is on a Sunday which has worked out well as we're planning the zoo for Saturday.

Yep another vote for Sundays here, particularly Sunday mornings as it leaves the afternoon free if there's anything we need to do. DH works Saturday so we sometimes can't get to parties on a Sat if he can't get time off (he has the car to get to work).
