Re: condenser tumble dryer recs please
If you're keeping it in the garage be careful in cold weather the water pump doesn't freeze. My parents did that over the cold spell and it needed replaced.
Engineer that came out recommended wrapping it in an old duvet or something in the cold weather.
I'd second Hotpoint (though it's the only one I've ever had so can't compare but it's grand)

Re: condenser tumble dryer recs please
I am an AEG convert which came with 5 years warranty we have both condenser and a washing machine and I am enjoying the peace of mind.
The problem with them being out in the cold is that their innards can get rusted up and any rubber seals and washers can perish quickly in the cold/heat.
When we moved here we put our Zanussi in the garage and it lasted less than 12 months before it developed a terrible squealing noise and the timer perished and you had to guess the programme because it didnt line up properly.

Re: condenser tumble dryer recs please
We've just bought a Bosch one and I love it. It's got lots of lights on to tell you when the container is full or when the filter needs cleaning etc. Loads of settings (of which I only use on) and drys in super quick time.
Looks a lot like this one http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...+CONDENSER.htm
Ours is in the garage.

Re: condenser tumble dryer recs please
I have a zanussi one, it's my first condenser one and it's fab. Has a synthetic setting which I have never had before and it's so good, I can do almost everything in it now!
Got mine from john lewis, same price as currys but longer warranty so it's definitely worth doing a bit of research
