Anyone bought big pieces of furniture from Next?
I really want a large dark wood dresser for the living room. I will for the time being (until the backroom is sorted again) put the tv and sky box on it.
I want a 2 door 3 draweer dresser and I have seen this one at next but I have never bought anything big from next.
I am thinking of something like this one

Or has anyone seen anything like this?
Thanks

Re: Anyone bought big pieces of furniture from Next?
We have just bought some bedroom furniture for the kids from Next. My DH was well impressed with it - it was self assembly stuff but he said it was a doddle to put together and it looks absolutely fine. Much better than Ikea self assembly stuff. It only took him half a day to assemble the entire bedroom and it doesn't really look like self assembly stuff IYKIWM?
The delivery was really quick, the delivery men put everything where I wanted it etc.
No complaints here!

I agree with Kate that it is good quality.
I bought an armoire a few years ago. It is really solid and heavy and wellmade, delivery men absolute stars. Mine though was not flat pack, and for me, however good it is, I always know iykwim, and for that price, I think you could get a solid piece.

I bought a large Chiltern cupboard (well actually I bought two) and they're great - very solid and look nice - I have to say I was very favourably impressed - wasn't expecting much from them

My parents have two white Chiltern wardrobes (ranged from a couple of years ago). They are really solid and heavy, gorgeous wardrobes.

Re: Anyone bought big pieces of furniture from Next?
What they all said, we have a few bits of their veneered furniture and for cheap stuff it's really good.
ETA Not that the piece you're after is cheap btw, just the stuff that we bought from their Express range!

Re: Anyone bought big pieces of furniture from Next?
I do like the dresser and really want something solid looking, although I would of course like it to be cheaper but doubt that can happen

Did you see the pieces you bought irl before buying or did you just order online?
I normally love ikea as its not too expensive and disposable for me as everything gets trashed in this house but I really want a nice piece of furniture for my grown up living room.
Thanks ladies

I've got some chiltern from next and adore them - really really chunky, good quality.
I didnt see them before I ordered them but was delighted (easily pleased me!!)
(although they are an absolute bugger to build)

Re: Anyone bought big pieces of furniture from Next?
We just ordered online. I didn't expect *that* much tbh so I've been really impressed. And it just makes it all the nicer that DH has been able to assemble them without an afternoon of swearing and throwing tools
