Is this normal?

Ever since Ella started pre school she seems to have been ill on and off. We seem to just get over one ilness and she picks up another. She had tonsilitis about 2 weeks ago and was off for a week with some very high temperatures and now she seems to have an ear infection and is complaining of a sore throat again. DD2 of course catches anything she has and has had a cold nearly since she was born - it affected her feeding last time which has resulted in her dropping a few centiles and last time she was weighed she had actually lost weight

Now I expected some illness after all she is mixing with other children but this just seems non stop?? Also she has been to creche since she was 18 months old and never picked up anything there apart from the odd sniffle.

With Ruby teething at the moment too I haven't had a proper night's sleep for about 3 months and I'm absolutely shattered. I managed to have a lie down this afternoon and was just out of it for 3 hours.

You're probably just having a bit of a bad run. Hopefully things will get better soon. Does she take multi-vitamins?

Unfortunately nurseries are breeding grounds for all illnesses and infections.

DD1 has a vitamin supplement and prebiotic drink every morning with her breakfast and it seems to give her immune system a little boost (she gets ill very easily, actually misses loads of nursery which worries me when she starts school this year) and I've just started giving DD2 one of the drinks with her breakfast too.
