Re: Baby Showers
what do you think to these games? Not planning on doing all of them, just coming up with ideas.
1. Guess how many jelly babies in the baby bottle
2. Guess sex, date, weight and time of baby
3. Take a strip of paper, and get everyone to mark on it how big they think Mum's belly is.
4. Pin the dummy on the baby
5. Taste the baby food and guess the flavour
6. Guess the celeb from their baby picture
7. Name the baby item - I've got lots of weird and wonderful bits that people may not know what they are / what they're for, pass a bag round and people pull out items then everyone writes down what they think the item is.
8. Baby Charades: Things like making a bottle, changing a nappy, burping, being sick on, etc etc.
9.Guess the nursery ryhme from the obscure line
Wordsearch: found a baby shower word search online
10. Baby item bingo
11. This one could be expencive, but if we got a couple of baby grows and some fabric pens we could have a design the baby grow competition! Sounds like a good idea. Maybe in teams to make it cheaper.
12. List of pain reliefs available for labour (we did this at anti natal class and theres a lot more than you realise)
13. 5 minutes to name as many baby items as possible
14. How expencive?? List of baby essentials for a new mum, and you guess how much they cost on adverage
we're doing a wall, where you write advice for mummy and stick it on the wall.
promise cards to make promises of things you'll do for mummy when baby arrives
and I'm making a nappy cake.
guests have been asked to bring nibbles.
Any thing else?

3. Take a strip of paper, and get everyone to mark on it how big they think Mum's belly is.
do it with a ball of string - pass it round along with a pair of scissors - and each person cuts to the length they guess is right, including the mum-to-be - this way no-one can really see the length others have guessed til you judge it, once all the lenghts are cut.
5. Taste the baby food and guess the flavour sounds revolting!!
6. Guess the celeb from their baby picture
have all the guests bring a baby photo of themselves, rather than celebs.
8. Baby Charades: Things like making a bottle, changing a nappy, burping, being sick on, etc etc.sounds fun
14. How expencive?? List of baby essentials for a new mum, and you guess how much they cost on adverage
is this fun?
imo
we're doing a wall, where you write advice for mummy and stick it on the wall. sounds good.
promise cards to make promises of things you'll do for mummy when baby arrives include rota for making meals for the new family and/or Dad if she is kept in after eg a c-section.
and I'm making a nappy cake. of course!
its compulsory.
guests have been asked to bring nibbles.

Re: Baby Showers
Thanks RT!!

My church are organising a meal rota for when bubs comes anyway, they did it for me too for two weeks, it was brilliant, we never eat that well normally!!!
it's going to be held in my church hall, so I'm thinking decorations will just be baloons as its a big space to fill and I'm paying for most of this myself.
Anyone have suggestions for cheap baby themed prizes for the games?
