Another Twilight Thread...... sorry!!
I've borrowed this from a friend and as its a 12 certificate my 12 year old is asking if he can watch it.
For those who've seen it what do you think?
TIA

Re: Another Twilight Thread...... sorry!!
Yes, I can't see why not.
What kind of 12 year old is he? (Easily scared? timid?)
ETA When I was 12 I was watching Terminator 2 and films like Poltergeist, Nightmare on Elm Street and Child's Play
Probably not with my parents knowledge though

Re: Another Twilight Thread...... sorry!!
No he's not easily scared and not even slightly timid - he'll be 13 in January. Just wanted to make sure before he did see it. I started to read the book and thought that would be OK for him but just wanted to make sure that the film wasn't too over the top. I wouldn't want him to see True Blood for instance but then I think thats on that late for a reason........

Well IMO yes, there is no swearing in it, that i can remember, no sex scenes, ok so a bit of an intense snog and nothing remotely scarey, a couple of vampires throwing each other round, but its not really violent, IMO there are worse things on normal TV before 9pm.

In that case, I think it's fine. As PF says - a bit of kissing and a small bit of blood.

Re: Another Twilight Thread...... sorry!!
My 11 and 13 year old boys have seen, and they were fine with it. I think it went over their head slighhtly though.

Slack mother that I am, DD1 watches it endlessly and I never thought to check the rating
anyway, she's obsessed with it so it can't be *that* scary (perhaps she only watches Edward though
)
