and
(actually surprised at all the the laugh out loud moments. Thumbs Up to them.)
The skipping through the woods vision was very vomtastic but in general

Totally agree, I was a bit
about that bit
I was surprised how funny it was too, I love the wolf pack
I really loved the volturi, I was a bit dissapointed when I saw photos if them as they weren't at all how I imagined them
but now I think they're great, especially Aro
I did think the end part of the film was a bit rushed, but then I could have quite happily spent another hour or two in twilight land

Re: New Moon discussion/spoiler thread?
For me, the film just doesn't match up to the book, and I find myself being critical of certain points, but then maybe that's be expected.
I think the bit they did really well, was the tension between Bella and Jacob, when she was almost going to give into her (albeit small romantic) feelings for him.
The bit that really spoilt it for me was the violence when they visited the Volturi. To me it seemed they were resorting to the standard sex and violence that seem necessary in films nowadays. Yet the power in the book was the fact that there was no violence, the tension iykwim? The soul always knows what to do to heal itself. The challenge is to silence the mind.

Re: New Moon discussion/spoiler thread?
I think that it is impossible for a film to match up to a book though. There is just too much to fit in, and most peoples' imaginations are far superior to anything that Hollywood could drum up. I enjoyed this film more than Twighlight, which is odd because, bookwise, I preferred Twighlight to New Moon.
I do think that the captured Bella's mood very well though, and she certainly didn't annoy me as much in this film as she did in Twighlight.
They didn't make enough of the whole Sam cult thing that Jacob was so concerned about before he changed.
I also didn't think that the Volturi seemed threatening enough, with the exception of Jane who was chilling. However the scene with the tourists was as horrific as I thought it was going to be (really made me shudder).
