Swearing
I used to swear a lot but since Wolfie was born I have managed to cut out of my swearing (except for the odd occasion) I have asked /Devil boy to do the same but he still swears a lot.
Wolfie has in the last few days started saying the F word a lot. I am not happy about this at all.
How can I get him to stop saying it?

Re: Swearing
Thanks Mrs D
I will try and do that.
What I have been doing today is telling him and alternative saying to what he has been saying. (I have been telling him to say Oh no instead of Oh F) it has worked quite well but I need to get him to totally stop swearing and especially by the time I get to mum and dads house in October.

Re: Swearing
Well i'm not saying its definately going to work DG but a couple of my friends had real problems with their LO's swearing and they were ranting and raving at them to stop and they just made matters worse because the kids knew they'd get a reaction if they said it iyswim. Ignoring worked for them, hopefully it will work with Wolfie too!! Poor you!!

Re: Swearing
Hannah went through a phase of saying the f-word loudly. Like you, I've curtailed my swearing (most of the time!) since having children but sometimes it slips out (specially when driving). We just completely ignored it and still do if she says anything we don't like her saying. It works. No attention is a bad thing in toddlerdom!
