What was the very 1st thing you said to your baby?

Wasn't sure if this should be in P&B or babies but have been thinking about this today as I was due with Oscar this time last year.

The very 1st thing I said to Oscar was:
"hello you *blub* I'm your mummy and I love you so so much" followed by smothering him in kisses.

with Thomas it was:
"Hello little man... I hope you are going to be okay.... I love you" & then I squeezed his hand and sang him "you are my sunshine" (he was in an incubator)

so what were the 1st things you said

With Gracie I just kept repeating (in a Northern accent for some

reason)
"Ive got a baby!!" and saying to the mw over and over "is she ok? is she ok?"

I don't really remember with Joseph, I think it was probably "hello baby" as I was just completely traumatised by the experience.

With Cara, I said "Hello baby. We have waited so long to meet you. You have the best big brother in the whole world." I

every time I think of my first moments with her.

Oh my god it's a girl (convinced she would be a boy!). Not much else thereafter whilst my placenta was tugged on for a loooooong while and stitching up went on loooooonger still. Got off my head on G and A at that point!
