Help! Reaction to MMR booster
I can't remember reaction to MMR being bad - bar 7 days later. Got booster done this am (I know I know very late but very unorganised) - we seem to be having a reaction - has been screaming "I want daddy" for an hour now after waking from nap. Have practically forced some calpol down her so assuming it will tail off....
How did your LO react - assuming not to worry....yet.

Excuse typing trying to console DD - but no substitute for daddy clearly

Aww poor thing. Could she just be remembering what happened rather than feeling ill?
Really hope she settles down for you soon :)

OK I think the Calpol has kicked in - she is now asking for easter egg and to watch thee bit where Nemo is naughty - the screaming has stopped - and I have stripped her to her nappy to be comfy. I think it is a reaction so will keep on with the calpol....thanks Lpp

Gosh - that's very early for a booster????? It's usually in the pre-school booster ie between 3 and 5.....
Am a bit
now...
Anyway, I expect calpol, hugs, chocolate, more hugs, cbeebies and a run around in the garden may help.....
If her temp goes sky high or she becomes lethargic/has problems breathing etc etc call the doc/an ambulance

C-beebies has been dismissed by her as "rubbish" - good to see we agree on that one

21-04-2006, 04:32pm #8Well, maybe I'm behind on the latest DoH rules, but it's the first I've ever heard of a booster that soon after the first. Does she get a third with the preschool boosters? And was it only the MMR or did she have her diptheria, tetanus and polio boosters too?

It was just mmr booster I think.....
Suzie the mmr was fine btw - just a reaction 7 days later of being a bit "off".
