anyone got a happy 20/20 story?
just Reading katkinns post in another thread about md 20/20 and it got me thinking- does the consumption of the drink 20/20 always end in disaster?
I was very very sick on strawberry 20/20 a long time ago.
Isit anyone drink of choice?

No sorry, no happy stories but what a blast from the past. Did everyone call it Mad Dog? Reminds me of GCSE results day, that and a bottle of Thunderbird down the fields- classy!

Re: anyone got a happy 20/20 story?
Not very happy for me either! I once went on a weekend away with a load of lads, drank a bottle of 20/20, then some whisky, yakked all over myself, then passed out and an ambulance was nearly called out! That was when I was 16 and I have never touched mad dog or whisky since...

God I remember drinking that crap - and Thunderbird - yummy yummy
I never really had a bad experience on Mad Dog (I think everyone I knew called it that
) - but don't talk to me about Southern Comfort

Re: anyone got a happy 20/20 story?
No, no, no.
I once drank a huge bottle of strawberry when I was 14 and round and some lads house whilst his parents away, got up to all sorts of trouble and was so ill for about a week after, although to this day I'm not convinced that there wasn't something else in that drink - they were those types of lads and I had some bad hallucinating experiences that night.
The kiwi experience was when me and my friend again aged about 14 decided it would be fun to get pissed and go to the fair
In what world is that a clever move
So we went to Maccy Ds and had a McChicken Sandwich meal, downed a bottle of Kiwi 20/20 and then a couple of bottles of blackcurrent Hooch and then had a good few goes on the Waltzers and the Orbiter. I promptly got off, through up McChicken sandwich everywhere (which had now gone a nice purple colour) and proceeded to lie on the floor saying "I'm dying" and crying for my dad whilst the world spinned around.
So yes, good times
I guess I was happy when I drank it.

I don't recall drinking with many happy consequences tbh
there's lots of drinks that have parted company with me.
Including red 20/20
And Castaway. And Blastaway. And bloody Mary. To name a few

eta - and a very memorable experience of smirnoff ice

I sprained my ankle falling over drunk on the blue mad dog (tropical fruits?) I was so drunk I didn't notice at the time
but boy was it painful afterwards combined with a hangover

Re: anyone got a happy 20/20 story?
omg - absolutely what she said.....
a few years ago went bowling for a friends birthday - a few sedate glasses of wine - all lovely - went back to a different friends house afterwards & he said no-one was to leave till we'd finished the Southern Comfort - & he had 3 pub-sized bottles of the stuff....
We crawled in at 5am
When I woke up
I can't even smell the stuff now.....
