I need a gift for my DS... help!!

I need to buy him something for his 4th birthday. My mum wants to buy him something. My MIL wants to buy him something. All are waiting for me to tell them what to get! Does anyone know what he wants because I sure as hell don't?!

He doesn't play with 4 year old's toys, has enough games, puzzles, has a water table, swing, slide etc... he only really plays with his brothers.

I'm having a nightmare trying to think of something lovely.

He keeps asking to play with his toy shop which I dismantled due to lack of space... maybe I should buy some stock for it and toy money and set it all back up. That's all I can come up with.

That's what happens when you are fifth in line!

How about you ask them for money and book a special trip just for you and him?
He could use the cash and spend it while you are out together

I am leaning towards 'doing things' rather than buying things as I find it tricky to think of gifts.

How about clubbing together and buying a kids camera for him? (or a normal camera for him?)

If he loves playing with children rather than things maybe something that will let him be people focussed might interest him?

Agree with Katkinn. We got F one of the Vtech cameras for his 3rd birthday and it's been a big hit.

ETA: And his cousins always borrow it who are 6 & 7 so is appropriate for a good few years
