Second time mums - measuring bigger?
I have been quite loving my bump this week and relishing feeling actually quite well.
Irrationally though since my doctor measure me as "30 weeks" this morning I feel huge - tis only 2 cm but I thought I was quite compact - clearly delusional
Are you guys bigger as it is second time too???

You might catch up with yourself tho. I was showing really early and then it kind of dtopped.
Just think of it like this there is loads of room in the playground for the little one this way

hon I can totally sympathise and will be SO crying on your shoulder in a couple of months!!! (if I can get near you with my massive body/bump getting in the way  )
I am nearly 15 weeks and am about the same size I reckon as I was at 21 weeks last time (can remember cos I went on holiday and know exactly what I wore!! HOW sad is that!!!)
I have finally given in and am in my maternity jeans and a new (albeit not maternity but bought for the purpose!) top
I DREAD to think how large I'm going to be this time round
I have already put on 9 lbs since getting pg
wtf??!!!! HOW did that happen??
AND my hernia makes me look even MORE pg (well fat if i'm honest!!!!!)
Joy of joys!!!!
(at least it's keeping my friends amused  fecking gits!!)

I'm not bigger, but I'm very low!! I can easily fit a whole hands width between my boobs and the top of my bump - must just mean that my stomach muscles are shot to pieces and the bump has nothing holding it up whatsoever
Am really hoping that with 2 small babies, I will never have time to eat again, and will be a skinny minnie within 2 weeks

Hi Az
Sad as it may sound, I measured myself every week when I was pregnant with Ethan (as well as weighing myself), and I am about 1kg heavier and 1.5 inches bigger. But, with Ethan I was measuring about 3 weeks smaller than I should have been.
I have my midwife appointment on Monday so shall let you know then if im ok for my dates.
Also, am carrying totally different this time and not going to the gym like I did before.
Im sure your bump looks wonderful

I am def smaller, I have lost a bit of weight too, but thats cos I have not been able to eat much.
With Eliza I was "huge" from day one but I think a lot of it was down to the IVF drugs and bloating.
I am 20 weeks tomorrow and I think hardly look pregnant, though it does depend what I wear.

I'm bigger this time but much more of me is bump than last time if that makes sense. My belly button didn't come close to popping last time but each night DH asks to look and gets more and more excited as he really wants it to go
I had another growth scan on Tuesday and she's already estimated to be bigger than James was at term (and at the same gestation in my last pregnancy) and my obstetrician thinks I'm "large for dates" (actually, he probably just thinks I'm large...
:wik: ) but all my glucose tolerance tests have come back fine.
Last time, I looked like a big lump whereas this time I actually look pregnant :D
Anyway, enjoy it - I LOVE being pregnant and having a bump and knowing I've an excuse for my tummy ;-)

OK guys - well I'll just go with the big thing I guess. Actually I am strangely almost shhhhhhhh liking being pregnant this week. Very weird - as I am sorry but I am one of those people that can see no good points about it bar the result at the end.
I saw cath kidston have done some nice tents for millets - maybe I'll just get one of those for later.
Those of you who are smaller I shall just pray it catches up with you ;)
Shamu you sound blooming :) - can't believe not long for you how exciting!!!

Tis very weird that despite the SPD (which is on and off) and tonnes of VERY uncomfy Braxton Hicks and having a toddler who knows exactly which buttons to press that I'm actually so happy :D I think I'm in denial though as I can't imagine how I'll cope with two
