What age would you do this?

Elisha, age 10, is asking for her eyebrows to be plucked. I've said I think she's a little young and we'll talk about it when she's a little older but I have to admit they are a little bushy and she won't grow out her fringe because she doesn't want her eyebrows visible.

What age would you let your DD start plucking hers?

I was about 12/13 when I started plucking mine.... (as a result of comments being made about my monobrow)

I'd find out if she's having comments aimed at her - if she is then, yes I would let her pluck (but only a little) if not then I'd ask her to wait a while...

I think I probably would. I cut my own fringe at about that age

I remember shaving my eyebrows too (not off, just trying to shape them - not a good look )

I think I would probably do it for her. If she wont grow her fringe they are obviously really bothering her.

I think if you just neaten them up, it can do no harm

DD is 10 and i have been plucking them for about 10 months now - (as she was fed up with a mono brow) she did go to a salon (owned by one of her friends aunties) but hated having them waxed so prefers them being plucked - not so then are thin thin but just tidied up

if its bothering her then I would

I've tidied DD's before and she is 10 now but she hasn't asked again. I do Veet her legs now though quite regularly as she has very dark, long hairs and it was really upsetting her.

I would say if it's because they're very bushy and noticeably different from the other girls, then yes, I'd be comfortable giving them a bit of a tidy.

If it's just because she wants pencil thin ones just because and hers are perfectly acceptable, then I'd be less keen I think.

WSS. I was on the receiving end of monobrow jokes for a long time at school and it isn't nice. Mum wouldn't let me do them so I took a razor to the tops of them instead, made it worse really.

Thanks for the replies. I don't think they're that bad but she's bothered by them so maybe I'll give them a little tidy up

I think it's part of starting to notice her body changing as she's asked to shave her legs as well

I'm going to put her off for a little while longer on that one, they're barely noticeable.
