GROSS! I wondered why the water butt water was smelly...

took a look and there was a dead mouse/similar small rodent (I didn't look that closely ) floating around merrily rotting in there I put a plastic bag over my hand and fished it out and lobbed it into the bushes (we've just had bin day and it'd be beyond gross in a fortnight ). Then turned the tap on and left it to drain, not sure I want my plants or bird bath having essence of rotting mouse all over them

Urgghhh.

We used to drink from the taps in the science lab at school until the teacher informed us it all came from a rainwater tank on the roof and that there were dead pigeons in there....
