Does your young child go to more than 1 pre/scool/nursery?
Just wondering
Theo goes to a private nursery all day Monday- soon to be Tuesdays instead (from 1st June).
From tomorrow he starts (back) at pre-school twice a week.
He is at a stage where he LOVES playing with other kids, he LOVES making friends and always chats about the little kids he knows from messy play, from the library and from his music groups- so I hope he will be FINE going to 2 different places.
He used to go to the same pre-school, and remembers it when I told him about it, he remembers all the good toys there, their bikes, their fab garden- so at least he will regonise it- my main thing is just:
Is it ok for them to go to 2 different places?
- Mentally I suppose...
Or am I going a bit
OMG! Before I know it he'll be at school

Re: Does your young child go to more than 1 pre/scool/nursery?
My dd went to a private nursery and a LA nursery last year. She was fine.
My ds will be doing the same from August. He'll be doing 3 mornings at private nursery and 5 afternoons (well, the 2.5 hours you get) at a LA nursery. I'm sure he'll be fine too!
It sounds like your T is very sociable and will take it all in his stride. I think it's quite nice to have different places and different people to see. Keeps things interesting!

If he's a confident little boy which I know he is then I'd say he'll be absolutely fine!
H has been at two different preschools (she goes to A for one afternoon a week, where she used to go for 3 mornings and to B for two days a week) from when she was 3 and we never had a problem in the slightest!
She does see them both as v different though and never ever gets confused. She also gets very different things from both of them which I'm v v happy about (and I think it's good for her as well)

Re: Does your young child go to more than 1 pre/scool/nursery?
Ok thanks both.
He knows they're different and refers to tomorrow place as "Pre-school" and to Monday's place as "Nursery"- and in that respect he'll totally know they're not entirely the same thing/concept.
He adores nursery though, so am sure pre-school will be just as adored- especially as he already knows it..
I took him out (of pre-school) as I felt he was too young last year, but now I feel it's overdue, he is sooo ready to spend LOTS of time playing with other children..

I did consider sending DD to 2 different places as they both seemed to provide different things. In the end I went with a 3rd place I fell in love with & she's now there 4 mornings a week but I think she would have been fine with 2 places.

Thanks Oppro
The pre-school place offered him 5 mornings OR 2.5 days from September- so that'll be good as well.
I don't know whether 2.5 days is a bit better than everyday for short bursts

Struan goes to one 2 mornings a week and after the half term holiday he will be going to another one 2 mornings a week as well.
There is no school in our village and some of the kids he will be going to ther school nursery with in September go to this second pre-school so I want him to get get to know them a bit better before they all go to school together
How can I be writing that already???

Oscar goes to one at the moment but I'm considering sending him to two from September, depending on howt he work situation works out for me. I don#t see that there'd be a problem as long as he's suited to each place

Tay went to private nursery for 2 mornings a weeks from when he was 6 months to school and went to a local pre-school from 3.5 years to school for 3 sessions. It worked really well for him and he really loved going to both as they where both quite different.
He made is best friend at school from the Pre-school which was nice
