Hello

Yes, another name thread.

We have a 'long' short list now. I would be very grateful if anyone has opinions on our list, particularly major likes or dislikes.

Middle name front runner is Alice (at the mo ).

Our last name has four letters and rhymmes with Straw.

I like Emmeline and Emillia (if you are putting in the extra 'L' would that be a slightly different pronunciation to Emilia?) Oh and also like Harriet.

Lovely names - I don't like Luella or Erica. I don't think either of those go with Alice, and Luella sounds (to me) like one of those names that will date. Sorry.

I like Emmeline best (Emmy?) but honestly that's because I'm biased, with having an Emmy of my own!

Personally I like Harriet and Erin (it's Talisa's middle name)

I know far too many children with variants of Emily so I (personally) would avoid Emmeline and Emillia.

I once knew an absolute cow called Luella. Shame as until then I quite liked the name.

Esme I'm so-so on

I irrationally hate Erica but I think I blame Friends for that.

Ottilie Alice isn't rolling off the tongue, for me though I do quite like Ottilie.

The only one that I definitely don't like is Laurel. I just think of Stan Laurel. The others are all nice.

I like Martha and Emmeline and also one of the other names - but it's our name for if this one's a girl so am not spilling
