Is anyone else completely obsessed with having newborns?

    Bleugh.

    I'm broody.

I absolutely love being a mum. I realise now that its what I was made to do. I have the easiest and best pregnancies, giving birth is a special time for me (though not easy by anyones standards), and I just adore being responsible for two little bodies whose lives revolve around me (for now). I couldnt wait for Danny to be born so I could feed another newborn. It scares me how I am already thinking about ttc for number 3 - we cant afford it yet, our house isnt big enough to keep having kids and other practicalities such as childcare jump out at me but I still cant stop thinking about when we will try for another.

I had the mirena coil fitted two weeks ago because I simply could not trust myself to take the pill or use condoms - thats terrible.

I dont expect any replies but if there are any women out there who feel/felt the same, I'd love to hear how they put this to the back of their minds.
    Mum to M (Aug 07) and D (Nov 08)
and soon to be baby number 3 (due 11th August).

I can't say I feel the same (and am terrified about having number 2 as I was pretty pants with a newborn), but I just wanted to say I think it is utterly delightful and totally refreshing that you feel this way

Go forth and multiply I say

Yes, after both pregnancies I was majorly broody, but by 10 months it was gone both times.

Ah I'm glad I;m not the only one! I just love it! The wobbliness of the babies, the smell, the way they cry - everything!

I try so hard to remember what they are like but I forget it all so quickly. I want them to stay as babies!

I just love the way their eyes light up when you walk into a room as well and how you can be stood in front of the mirror doing your make up or something then you realise they have just been staring at you the whole time right, must shut up now
