What present to buy for Lexie's carers?

Lexie is moving up from the baby class to the next classroom tomorrow. I will be giving a thank you card to the girls who look after her. Her time there has been fantastic and she's loved it.

There are 10 of them (most of them young ladies). What will I get them as a thank you? If all else fails I'll buy a great big box of choccies but I'm trying to think of something a bit more original. Would it be out of order to get a case of wine for them to share out for example?

I reckon a case of wines a fab idea ( as someone who works with young kids every day I can assure you that a drink at the end of the day is alomost essential )

Also how about doing some simple hand print thankyou cards from her. Personal stuff is always appreciated best.

Wine sounds perfect!! Our maybe little candles that she could make sparkly gift tags for with ribbons and stuff? But, thinking about it, you don't get much better than a bottle of plonk do you? (As an aside, we bought the midwives on duty when Roo was born a case of sparkling wine and they were overjoyed!)

    Not tonight.

They bake a lot of cakes at the school anyway for the little 'uns birthdays.

Crate of wine, nice card and box of choccies to share out...that's the plan.

I wish I'd given myself more time to let Lexie make a card. I'll let her 'write' in it instead.

Thanks for your advice girls...spot on as usual!

Jeeze I never thought about that BK, this Friday is Lorna's last day in the baby room too

Unfortunately a lot of the original carers have left and I only know 3 of the girls in that room now. I don't know what to do

Just to add my tuppence worth but I work in a nursery and I honestly mean it when I say me and the girls in our room love anything we get especially a thank you card as it really means alot! We've had lots of chocolates over the last week or so but as I'm trying to be good I would definitely be thrilled with wine!

It's really nice of you as lots of Mums don't bother!

Chocolates sounds good and they will go down a treat but wine is a good idea too

I made handpainted plaques for the girls in Charlotte's room - it said 'When it's raining, look for rainbpos. When it's dark, look for stars' with rhinestoned stars and rainbows. The quote was shamlessly pinched from a plaque that Lola Dane got for her birthday
