. Homemade Pizza, what do you bake it in?

I've been making homemade pizzas a lot recently but don't have a proper tray/dish to cook them on.

I know Pampered Chef do a pizza stone but I don't want to spend too much. I'd like two so I can make a double mix and freeze one.

Chell don't bake it IN anything honey - put it on a pre-heated tray (flat).

In the future, a pizza stone is great (pre heat first). We get these terracotta ones from this weeny little Spanish village on the border when we go to see the rellies.

I always use a flat tray but the dough is never crispy. I didn't know to preheat it though.

I have a pizza stone - its a Typhoon one and was about £15 and bigger than the Pampered Chef one. It is FABULOUS and makes the best pizza.

A small investment but it will last and who wants soggy pizza?!

Just seen this one on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kitchen-Craf...2738424&sr=1-1

Thanks all, I try the cheapy Asda trays before trying the stones as I can't spend too much. They'd be good as I could freeze a prepared uncooked pizza in them.

I done a search and found that Jamie Oliver recommends using a granite floor tile.

Some friends of mine bought a large terracotta tile in B&Q or somewhere and they say it works a treat

I've seen some pizza baking trays in one of the supermarkets this week for £1.99 (big round baking tray with holes in the bottom)....

I think it might have been Tesco or could have been Morrisons.... actually thinking it was more likely to have been Morrisons...
